Wong of Santa Barbara, California and Honolulu, Hawaii. The Wongs acquired the paintings from a private collector, who purchased the trio directly from the artist’s tablet in 1986.   The Artist For 20 years, Ms. Poes dedicated herself to the cultural and artistic enrichment of the people of Honolulu, Hawaii. Her works have appeared in the Honolulu Academy of Arts, and are in private international collections. Hawaii’s largest financial-services corporations and most celebrated lodging companies have commissioned her works. The Royal Hawaiian Hotel, the Kahala Mandarin Oriental Hotel, the Moana Surfrider, and Halekulani Hotel have all commissioned and displayed Ms. Poe’s works. The Bank of Hawaii is believed to be the owner of the largest assembly of the artist’s investment-grade paintings. First acclaimed for work in ink and watercolor, Ms. Poes has expanded her mediums to include still life and landscape subjects in oil.
