Description
Perhaps, you, like many of those who have viewed this painting, will be amazed to see yourself as a child, at the feet of Jesus, offering flowers, or perhaps, you see a child that you loved or childhood friend who has already stepped into eternity. We may see ourselves as old, and the world may see us as old, and or we may indeed be old, but the Master, Our Father, always sees us as His children. We all must become like little children in our faith, place all of our hope and trust in the atonement and blood of Christ, and rest our hope of salvation in trusting that he makes all of us who are old in the sin of Adam, young again, innocent, born again, like little children, at the foot of the cross. The beautiful blonde haired white baby resting in the Saviours lap, clinging to his neck looks back towards the viewer, perhaps the Mother he left behind on earth as if to say, " I am with my heavenly father, don't worry Mom!". The beautiful curly haired black baby girl at his feet, healthy whole, and happy is the antithesis of the fate of most black children born into the earth today. This redeemed princess is is the heavenly counterpart of the earthly counterpart of black children starving to death, left to die in the streets of the worlds poorest nations, decimated by the plague of aids and malaria, and other diseases of poverty. Cultures, families, a country a people destroyed by the ambition greed and callousness of cruel men. The Asian Girl in bright yellow offering flowers to the savior, who represents a childhood friend who the artist remembers who died of a genetic disease at the age of 21 with faith, and great courage, she met her savior, and left behind this world of smoke and mirrors. Hispanic boy, Irish Caucasian, each tug at the master's arm as if to gain his attention to join them on an adventure in heaven. Nigerian, Aborigine, European, Asian,Caucasian, Middle Eastern, Mid Western, all have red blood underneath the surface differences, all human, all equal in ability to love, to create life, and hope, to make the world a better place or to create great pain suffering and death and chaos for others. The artist Victoria states, that she "finds it disturbing that more people place more faith in a world that treats black princes and princesses and people of all colors, like garbage, to be thrown away, when the Kingdom of heaven treats every tribe, every people, every nation as absolute equals, that the world to come, the one painted in this "glimpse of heaven", is more real, than the tragic kingdom brutal existence of suffering created here on earth by the the spiritual law of free will in the hands of godless, cruel and evil men". The Artist Victoria in her own way also sought to directly yet lovingly tell other Christians, and other faiths for that matter who practice "religion" fully deceived, operating under a grave misconception that presupposes they are God's favorites, or they hold some pre ordained self imagined, place of higher honor based on the way they worship, the prophet they worship, or the station of life they had been borne into, or the color of their skin, thinking they know more than their neighbor, and God loves them more,..because,...I only know one Savior who gave his life for me. What better way to share with other faiths, what she believed about God, and skin color, and birth rights. The Artist Victoria made it a priority and felt it was extremely important to paint the blackest African child in the beloved embrace and place of honor , like the beloved disciple John, at the Last Supper, resting his head on the shoulder of Jesus, a friend of the Master, at the side of the Saviour, one who had suffered much, at the hands of others, simply for the color of her skin, and a precious black baby girl, healthy and happy, at the feet of the Master. This painting is intended to speak to all faiths, who engage in human trafficking to this very day . This painting is the first in a series of paintings, as "images inspired by the Holy Spirit",..what most of us cannot understand, or will write off as the eccentricities of the artist, and her "religion". I can only paint from the perspective and belief that I believe to be true. I hope other faiths, can learn to love one another, and the grace of tolerance for those who choose to believe differently. I like to place my hope in this artist's future as well. The proceeds of this painting will be use to help pay off her mother's mortgage, and also subsequent funds will go to help others in need, with 10% of all funds raised going towards " Save the Children" emergency response team.
