Framed:  71 inches tall x 58 1/2 inches wide. The painting is framed in the minimalist/modern style of the 1960s abstracts.  Condition: Overall very good condition.  Painting is clean with no paint loss (see photos).     Listed in Davenport, Askart, Artprice, and Artnet. About the Artist: Lawrence Calcagno was born on March 23, 1913 in San Francisco, and died in 1993 at the age of 80.  He began painting at the age of 19. Calcagno studied at the California School of Fine Art in San Francisco, Academie de la Grande Chaumiere, Paris Institute d'Arte Statale Floreiree.  After serving in WW2, he painted in Paris under the G.I. Bill. Calcagno began to show in San Francisco, Taos, Hawaii, and New York as part of the second generation of Abstract Expressionist painters or "The New York School".
