Description
Classic mid to late 19th century Stevensgraph (Stevengraph), depicting The Lady Godiva Procession, woven in brightly colored silk by Thomas Stevens, (1828–88), English weaver. Tastefully matted in a gold leaf frame. The inscription on the back says: Woven in silk by Thomas Stevens, Inventor and Manufacturer, Coventry and London, (Registered). Also on the back is a short article from McCall's, June 1969, describing Stevensgraphs in general. The article is somewhat tattered (last photo).
