This beautiful work of art created April 1977 is titled 'Omphalos' and is an original acrylic and crayon on canvas. The painting is extremely vibrant in color and uses great texture - the colors are interchanging within vertical lines sculpted with thick acrylic. Painting measures 76" by 64" The painting was purchased in 1979 in New York during a Malen exhibit. The art is being sold by its original owner, and it has been kept in perfect condition. The art has been framed, wall mounted and kept away from direct sunlight in a smoke-free environment. Malen's early paintings are rarely available for sale.
