Description
Alice Judson, NY (1876 - 1948) A student of John Twachtman at the Art Students League, Alice Judson had a successful career in New York City in the 1920s and 1930s. She also painted at Gloucester and the Hudson Highlands. This great colorful impressionist painting is by New York artist Alice Judson. Most likely a Gloucester Harbor scene she is famous for painting. There are several examples you can see on AskArt, but I think this is the finest of them all. Her highest auction sale on AskArt is $8,400 and gallery prices can go much higher. Although this painting is smaller, the subject matter, colors, and exceptional work puts this at the higher price range for this artist. The colors and brushwork are fantastic. I have owned this painting for over 15 years and purchased it from a great estate here in Florida with several other great paintings. It is nicely framed in a contemporary frame handmade by Sarasota Goldleaf Studios (see beautifulpictureframes.com). The painting measures 10 x 14, and with the frame measures 15 x 19. It is oil on board, possibly the old masonite, and is in excellent condition with no repairs. We are offering this at a wholesale price; this should sell at the buy it now price. Serious offers only. Shipping is via US postal priority mail - Shipping cost includes packaging, but not insurance. Insurance will be based on final value. Florida residents we will add 7 percent sales tax, until receipt of tax ID. We accept Paypal, personal checks, and money orders. Item will be held up to 7 days until check clears prior to shipping. We sell antique and used items. These items bear the signs of normal use and wear, and in some cases other imperfections. We will try to point out flaws we think are worth noting, however, be sure to ask questions about what is important to you as a buyer.
