Description
In the summer of 1998 at precisely 3pm on August 18th, the Spirit of Jimi Hendrix was born - a bi dimensional representation, the fruit of continuing experimental research of photography. The idea of this operation came by the treatment of the negative with chemical agents and physical vibration generated by sound waves. The sound intertwined the forms on the negative using chemical liquids, like the vision a painter uses with his movements to realize his work. It was the music with its vibrations to decide the forms and the colors. This operation reveres the casual process of experimental research, its essesense, its forms, deferring to the will that the conscious doesn’t recognize. These are the reasons that make this operation one: no conscious will can repeat; it escaped from a far away passage, as if it was suspended in air, in a deep brilliant light, it took form, the silhouette of a man bent forward with a guitar in hand, in which you see only the handle of the guitar. Surrounding the silhouette a halo of energy justifying the vitality of dynamic movement of a body that contains in itself a black soul. The Author of this Negative is Anonymous. The music by which this photograph was created, that is spoken of above is Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix. For Sale is the original negative.
